ESC selection is not only about peak current. Buyers should consider motor KV, propeller pitch, airflow, battery voltage and the expected operating environment. A boat or agricultural UAV may need more thermal headroom than an open racing frame.
When replacing ESCs, compare connector type, signal protocol, mounting size and waterproofing requirements.
